The Master's Learning Institute’s SAT and ACT Compliance Requirements

The Master’s Learning Institute is considered a Home School Program, and the laws of the state of Texas protect our program as a Non-traditional Secondary Education (Texas Education Code Section § 51.9241, and Texas House Bill #944). This means that according to the laws of the state of Texas, our graduates must be treated fairly, and equal to other high school graduated students. Although our program is considered equal, there are still many positions, or programs that are regulated by the State of Texas, which means, our students must comply with application requirements. State Standardized Testing Scores are considered part of the required criteria for state of Texas-governed positions. Since The Master’s Learning Institute is not required to give a TAKS or STARR test for graduation purposes, SAT and ACT scores are considered our State Standardized Testing Scores. These scores support your diploma and transcripts from The Master’s Learning Institute when applying to the state, or government for any position. University College programs require SAT and ACT scores to meet their entrance criteria as well as to receive financial aid. This may also apply to community colleges or vocational schools if they are not open enrollment. Many schools have different criteria, and it is up to you to understand their requirements for admission. The Master’s Learning Institute has information that will help you when registering for this testing. However, it will be up to you to register if you are interested in the opportunities that may require the State Standardized Testing Scores.
